HEINZ & SJAANA - AN INTIMATE CELEBRATION WITH THE WATERBERG AS WITNESS
What a privilege to have documented such a special day on Heinz's family farm. The Waterberg and surroundings didn't hold back when it came to showing off it's natural beauty (and neither did Sjaana!). It was a beautiful, intimate celebration with the couple's nearest and dearest from all over the world - a mixed bag of interesting characters, we felt right at home in the crowd!
Duncan and I had been living in the desert for about a year or so before documenting this wedding, and we were blessed with a full-blown thunderstorm towards the end of the night. We could smell the rain (that iconic, Namibian thuderstorm smell) and it made our hearts ache for the time we spent up in the North of Namibia where rain was far more substantial than the mist we experience at the coast.
Sjaana and Heinz both made us feel so welcomed with their warm and comfortable personalities. We even decided to have a spin on the dance-floor when all the formalities were done!
Definitely a wedding for the books.
